Strata explores personal and world histories layered with ancient philosophies, evoking the ghosts of our ancestors. The performance is inspired by Polish avant-garde director Tadeusz Kantor’s famous production “The Dead Class”, and by the true story of a Japanese countryside village where a woman makes human size dolls and places them throughout the village as a way of repopulating and revitalizing the now uninhabited village.
The performance was presented at Alma Rosè – Artepassante space, in Milan in 2020.
