AMOR

Butoh dance and voice: Kea Tonetti
live music:  Tivitavi
duration time: 60’

The knights in search of the Grail, searching for Amor, entered the forest where they saw it was thickest. Amor is a personal feeling that follows the charm and guidance of the senses. It is openness, it was never meant to be contained; on the contrary, it leads us to contemplate something for what it is, grasping its essence and intrinsic beauty, like an epiphany of the whole. Amor is a force of sublimation, opening the wounded heart to the sad, sweet, bittersweet, and piercing melody of Being, thanks to its pain and joy of love. Being touched by Amor is a thrill of joy that happens in an instant, even in welcoming and loving one’s demons, transforming them into art, offering them with love. Allowing your acorn to open, letting your soul incarnate itself by manifesting in the body, sexuality, emotions, intuitions, visions, and consciousness. Thus, a music is born that layers multiple sounds and a dance in continuous mutation and transformation. Hidden yet manifest, Amor moves everything in secret, embraces everything, permeating it with its essence.

The performance was presented at: Spazio Continuum, Milan (2018); Három Holló, Budapest (2018); Hortus Conclusus Festival, Novi Ligure (AL) – IT (2018); “Haru No Kaze” Festival, Teatro Comunale, Vicenza (2019) where, for the occasion, the set design consisted of an Ikebana realized by Mario Ryu of the “Ukigumo” association.
