Time of Tasogare (twilight)

Suspended violet moment, door between the world, Spirits of the Nature and memories of the Ancestors dance, in the space time between light and darkness, life and death resonate.

Tasogare in Japanese means twilight, that instant suspended between day and night, where the sky turns purple red and a door opens between the worlds. In that temporal space image, the world of life and death, of light and darkness meet. In the time of Tasogare it is possible to meet the Nature Spirits, Mononoke, or ancestors spirits. The dancers Atsushi Takenouchi and Kea Tonetti will enter in the oneiric time-space of Butoh dance, and let the dance connect with these spirits, allowing the performance to be born in the present, lead by the deep and evocative live music of Hiroko Komiya and Tivitavi.
