The Journey of Mirante

Creative residence in the beautiful setting of the “Zingaro’s Nature Reserve”

COMPAGNIAKHA – UddU – ASECONDADI

Which relationship exists today between humans and the environment? Tourists flock to beaches and airports in search of exotic destinations while beautiful places of our country remain unexplored. UddU propose and organize a creative journey inside the Zingaro’s Nature Reserve so that, through the interaction between environment and art, you can rediscover the wonder to observe and to respect the landscape that surrounds us.

A residence of 7 days during which you can spend time in contact with nature by creating a story together with artists thanks to the suggestions made by places. Through the medium of the artistic/performative theater, the music and the dance, 5 artists propose a journey to learn, live and let live the walkways and the pristine nature of the Reserve.

The participants were invited to create, together with the artists, a studio for a performance on the trip, loosely based on the Don Quixote de la Mancia by Miguel de Cervantes, which was presented to the public on the last day of the residence.
