Working in the theater, he had the opportunity to come into contact with some of the major Italian and international theater and dance theater companies, including Sosta Palmizi, Teatro Valdoca, Santagata and Morganti, Odin Teatret, and Virgilio Sieni.

In 1991, he graduated with honors in painting from the Accademia Albertina in Turin, with a thesis on the history of screenwriting, supervised by Prof. Andrea Balzola. During these years, he was mainly interested in cinema, painting, and dance. Among his teachers, Maestro Gino Gorza was a key figure.

During the same period, he began to take an interest in Eastern cultures, yoga, Zen meditation, and Native American spirituality.

In 1991, he met Maestro Gio’ Fronti, founder of Hara Yoga, shiatsu therapist, and setsu shin, with whom he began a journey of personal growth that would profoundly influence his art.

On the path of yoga, he encountered sound as a form of healing through mantras, chants, and percussion accompanying the practices. In 1994, he became a Hara Yoga teacher, developing his research on the relationship between the body and creativity, initially through painting and later through voice and sound.

He moved to Milan, where, together with other artists, he founded the association “Anamani” (hands of the earth), a research project aimed at understanding and rediscovering shamanic and tribal cultures. He undertook several study trips that led him to encounter different cultures and ethnic groups. He studied the Didjeridoo with Phil Drummy and Djalu Gurruwiwi in Arnhem Land, the territory of the Yolngu, Australian aborigines. He was invited by Norman Tulley, a Navajo from Arizona, to live for a month on their reservation, and later, thanks to Mari Boine, he met the Sami people of Norwegian Lapland. With the Italia-Tuva association, he was one of the first Westerners to enter Tuva, Russian Mongolia. During these trips, he learned many musical skills, both instrumental and vocal, but above all, he encountered different worlds and cultures. He began a personal journey of research into the voice, starting with Harmonic singing with Saynko Namcylak (Tuva singing), Mari Boine (Lapp singing), and Amelia Cuni (Drhupad singing), continuing with Francesca Gualandri (Pneumaphony, founded by Serge Wilfart) and Mauro Tiberi (harmonic and ritual singing). He studied Scottish bagpipes with Lorenzo Galantini, African percussion with Lorenzo Gasperoni, and Sicilian tammorra with Massimo Laguardia, founder of Agricantus.

In 2000, he coordinated a group of 50 volunteers with whom he built the Hara Yoga dojo, the home of practice, where for a decade lessons, seminars, and meetings for human evolution took place. Among these, from 2000 to 2010, he followed a therapeutic and inner growth path with Cristobal Jodorowsky. seminars, and meetings for human evolution took place for a decade. Among these, from 2000 to 2010, he followed a therapeutic and inner growth path of Psychogenealogy with Cristobal Jodorowsky, which led him to come into contact with Mexican shamanism. A few years later, he began to assist with music in the rituals of Psycho-shamanism and some of Cristobal Jodorowsky’s workshops.

In 2001, he began a four-year training course in Art Therapy at the Edith Kramer School in Turin, directed by Elizabeth Stone in collaboration with New York University, and at the Risvegli School in Milan. During his internship, he came into contact with the world of the deaf and became a communication assistant for two years, an intense experience in the world of “non-sounds” and non-verbal communication through sign language.

He collaborated as a Hara Yoga teacher with the Mus-e association, founded by violinist Yehudi Menuhin to introduce art into European schools as a means of preventing intolerance and promoting peace education.

In 2005, together with his life partner Kea Tonetti, he created Spazio Continuum, a place where art and therapy meet, a place where the cathartic and ritualistic elements of the creative act come to life. He began accompanying Butoh and Sensitive Dance® performances and seminars with his live music.

In 2008, he met Albert Rabenstein, with whom he trained in Sound Massage according to the teachings of the Centro de Terapia de Sonido y Estudios Armonicos in Buenos Aires. He began holding evenings of group “harmonization” in Italy and abroad: sound baths with Tibetan bowls, other harmonic instruments, and voice, which he called “Mandala Sonoro”.

A collaboration began with Claude Coldy, founder of Sensitive Dance®, to accompany some of his seminars live with Tibetan and crystal bells. During the same period, he completed training with Maestro Gio’ Fronti in “Shin Ki Ren,” a practice of energy rebalancing through breathing, visualization of light, and hand contact. In the same year, together with Kea Tonetti, he founded CompagniaKha, which brings together many life and travel experiences in dance and sound research. This collaboration also became a method of creating and constructing performances, where dance and music influence each other.

In 2011, he completed the one-year training course of Nada Yoga, yoga of sound, with Riccardo Misto in Padua.

Between 2012 and 2013, he held art therapy and creativity workshops at San Vittore prison, Milan. Over the years, he has collaborated with various musicians and artists, including Lorenzo Sanguedolce (NYC), Carlo Garofalo, Davide Livornese, Fabio Malizia from “Orbe,” Lorenzo Pierobon and Henten Hitti (Festival Ville e Castella, 2010), Antoine Levi Cicéron (Rosenhof Festival, 2009), and Hiroko Komiya.

In 2013, he recorded the album Suono Naturale at Artefacts Mastering in Berlin, featuring harmonic Tibetan bells, vocals, and didjeridoo.

In 2022, he collaborated on the soundtrack for Pietro Bonfanti’s documentary film Fato Profugus.

He currently teaches weekly sound yoga classes and collaborates with Kea Tonetti on the organization and promotion of dance, voice, Tibetan bowl, and didjeridoo performances and workshop in Italy and abroad, both in studio and in nature.

EXHIBITIONS, EVENTS, PERFORMANCES

2024 – Straftellers, live music for the literature reading with Ottavio Tonti, Straf Hotel, Milan.

2024 – Being Humans, live music for the Butoh performance by Kea Tonetti, with Kea Tonetti, Mariagiulia Leuzzi, Puer Purpura, Šamaš Sarmiento, Spazio Continuum, Milan.

2023 – Elettra, live music for the performance by Kea Tonetti dedicated to violence against women, inspired by the poetry of Donatella Bisutti, with readings by Sonia Grandis, presented at: International Poetry Festival “Parole Spalancate,” Palazzo Ducale, Genoa (2023); Casa della Poesia di Monza, Reggia di Monza (2024).

2023 – Butoh Experience, live music for the Butoh dance improvisation by Kea Tonetti, Studio Manzoni, Milan.

2022 – Splendore, live music for the Butoh performance by Kea Tonetti, presented at: Amsterdam Butoh Festival (2022); Hybrid Butoh Festival, Vienna (2022); Helsinki Butoh Festival (2023); Festival Miniature, Ruvo di Puglia (BA) – IT (2023); Festival International Danse Butoh, Valence – FR (2024); Festival Sol de Sabba, Bosa (OR) – IT (2024); “Le Voci dell’Anima” Festival, Rimini (2024); Teatro Republika Sztuki Tłusta Langusta, Poznan – PL (2025).

2022 – Umano.
